I was having Thanksgiving at my house until about 5 minutes ago when I realized that my dishwasher is broken. I'm not playing Little House on the Prairie, thank you very much. I guess we will be schlepping the turkey around town.

- My name is Melissa and welcome to my blog. I live in Las Vegas with my husband, Robert, and my two kids, Nick and Taylor. We also have a large cat, Enzo. I grew up in Springfield, Missouri, where most of my family still lives. I work in the gaming industry in Las Vegas, or doing the "Devil's Work," as my Mother says. I've been consulting for the past couple of years which is just fancy talk for unemployed. No, there is no secret I can share with you that will make you hit the slot machine or win the lottery. If there was, wouldn't I have done it myself years ago? I'm getting ready to parent in teenage years of which I am woefully unskilled and inept. I woke up one morning and I was 40, and never realized that Life was Passing Bye. I promise from now on to save the world.
